22 May Preventative Care Screenings Transforming Lives
Pili attended a cervical cancer screening led by DCMC’s Community Health Department (CHD) in the rural Kongwa district. During her exam, a large pelvic lesion was discovered that was impacting her health and daily living. Unable to afford care, she was referred to DCMC for surgery to remove the lesion — at no cost to her. Months later when the CHD returned to her village, she reported that her life had been completely transformed, all thanks to the care provided by DCMC.
